How to register your child for ICAS

ICAS registration goes through your child's school — you can't register directly with us. Here's exactly how it works, in two steps.

Ask your school if they run ICAS

Speak to your child's teacher or school office and ask whether the school is registering students for ICAS this year. If you're not sure who to ask, the school office is the best place to start.

If they say no → see "Your school doesn't offer ICAS?" below.

If they say yes → move to Step 2.

Ask your school how they collect payment

Schools handle payment one of two ways. Ask your school which one applies to you — they'll be able to tell you straightaway.

PAY YOUR SCHOOL

Most schools handle this themselves. Pay your school using whatever method they ask for — there's nothing to do on our website.

PAY ONLINE

Some schools ask parents to register and pay through our online Payment Portal. If your school tells you to use this, click below.

Go to the Payment Portal

This opens our Payment Portal, a separate site with its own login. Have your child's details ready.

What happens next

Once payment is made — whether through your school or the Payment Portal — your school takes care of the rest of the registration. You don't need to do anything further on our site. Check the Calendar for key dates, and see Practice & past papers for how to help your child prepare.

Your school doesn't offer ICAS?

If your school doesn't currently run ICAS, let us know and we'll reach out to them on your behalf.
